Sri Lanka – A Beautiful Teardrop

Sri Lanka has been tempting travelers since ages with its wealth of scenic landscapes, balmy waters of the Indian Ocean, everlasting ruins, absolutely pleasant denizens and world famous culinary art. Negombo is another major city in Sri Lanka known for immaculate wide sandy beaches. Negombo Beach is the most visited beach that brings locals and travelers alike with its jovial and relaxing ambience. Negombo Lagoon, covering an area of 3164 hectares, entices travelers with its scenic views. The five main caves here house the holy Buddhist shrines.

Bentota town offers a beautiful village setting amongst green landscapes and picturesque beaches. Most of the town is adorned with palm trees beautifying the canvas of Bentota. The town is known for embracing some gorgeous beaches including Bentota Bay Beach. In addition, River Bentara, flowing into the Indian Ocean, is a must visit attraction. Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake is the only international airport of Sri Lanka located 32 km from Colombo, 102 km from Kandy, 153 km from Galle, 165 km from Nuwara Eliya, 7.8 km from Negombo, 144 km from Hikkaduwa, 151 km from Habarana, 145 km from Dambulla and 110 km from Bentota. Thereafter, travelers can take bus or taxi services to reach their destinations.
