Malaysia – Where Fun Never Ends

Captivating, thrilling and revitalizing - Malaysia is all these and a lot more. From modern edifices of Kuala Lumpur to natural landscapes of Langkawi and historical treasure troves of Penang– travellers booking holiday packages to Malaysia get mesmerized with an endless list of enthralling prerogatives.

Kuala Lumpur
Every sight in Kuala Lumpur is equally surreal making travellers gloat over their decision of planning a holiday to Malaysia. Start with the buzzing and vibrant Chinatown, known as the bargain hunter’s paradise. This is the perfect hub to bag all kinds of Chinese goods at dirt-cheap prices. Another temptation for the worshippers of shopping is Bukit Bintang, Malaysia’s shopping and entertainment district, presenting chic shops to five star hotels and happening restaurants to pulsating nightclubs. Pavilion KL, home to European luxury retailers, is the most iconic attraction here accommodating high-end brands like Coach, Diane Von Furstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Versac, etc.

How to Reach
Kuala Lumpur International Airport located around 50 kilometres to the south of Kuala Lumpur is the main airport connecting this beautiful city to all the parts of the world. The airport houses a Low cost carrier terminal (LCCT) catering the increasing influx of travellers hopping on low cost airlines, especially the passengers of Malaysia's "no-frills" airline, AirAsia. Also, thanks to the frequent bus service, Kuala Lumpur enjoys great road connectivity with Singapore (5 to 7 hours journey) and other destinations in Malaysia.

Situated at the junction of Asia’s great kingdoms and Europe's influential colonial empires, Penang is perhaps an ideal destination to turn the pages of history. Often known as the Pearl of the Orient, Penang presents a multi-hued canvas painted with vibrant cultures including Chinese, Malay and Indian. Travellers visiting Penang can explore sun-drenched beaches, appealing resorts, emerald tropical gardens, assorted colonial heritage and architectural wonders of George Town. Beach enthusiasts must take time to visit the Batu Ferringhi Beach enticing the globe with its long stretch of soft, white sands. While the night market of this beach is a sure to lure treat, the list of adventure water activities here are great to challenge the daredevil inside you.

How to Reach
The Penang International Airport, 20 kilometres from the City Centre, offers great connectivity. Travellers can also hop on a train from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth which usually takes 6 hours, followed by a ferry ride to Penang. The Penang Bridge also enables travellers to plan a road trip to Penang with beautiful sightseeing attractions nestling the roads.

Genting Highlands
Holidaymakers never miss a chance to visit Genting Highlands, an integrated resort development housing Genting Sky Venture (the only free-fall skydiving simulator in Asia), Genting X-pedition Wall and a jaw-dropping rock-climbing wall (stretching to 15 metres in height, with a 6-metre overhang). Casinos are certainly the best draw here, as Genting is the only licensed gambling centre in Malaysia on land. The casinos stay brimming with travellers and locals, acting as perfect hubs to party till wee hours.

How to Reach
Chartered helicopters which take off from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport take about 30 minutes to reach Genting. Go Genting Express Bus also connects Genting with Kuala Lumpur through a one hour journey.

Langkawi is an archipelago embracing 99 islands on the west coast of Malaysia. Nestling with turquoise waters, paddy fields and lush green hills, Langkawi is a perfect escape for those seeking rejuvenation. From the elaborate Underwater World Langkawi along Pantai Cenang to the towering Cable Car in Pantai Kok, this destination electrifies travellers of all age groups and likes.

How to Reach
Travellers seeking comfort and willing to spend money can reach Langkawi by taking a direct flight from Kuala Lumpur followed by a road, rail or air journey. The Langkawi International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres away from the town of Kuah and 8 kilometres from Pantai Cenang. In addition, travellers can also take the pleasure of 60 minutes express ferries running daily from Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perlis to Langkawi.

Cameroon Highlands
One of Malaysia’s most extensive hill stations, Cameroon Highlands is one place where the breeze is freshened up by eucalyptus, baffling tea plantations roll into the way, and strawberry farms rest under gigantic sunshades. People visiting here get floored by the extensive tea plantation, making the area look awe-inspiring. Apart from this, Mossy Forest, Rafflesia tour, strawberry farm, rose gardens, a Chinese temple, a cactus valley and vegetable gardens are some of the must-explored attractions of Cameroon Highlands.

How to Reach
Travellers planning to visit Cameroon Highlands can board flights from the Penang International Airport or the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Though Penang is closer to Cameroon Highlands as compared to Kuala Lumpur, the latter provides a large number of international flights and better connectivity. After landing at any of the two airports, travellers can take local transportation services to reach Cameron Highlands.

Port Dickson
A popular beach destination, Port Dickson is a beautiful place to spend some moments of peace. It houses a Military Museum exhibiting military history of the Malay Peninsula, armoured cars and helicopters. Ostrich Farm is yet another great attraction here for nature buffs presenting a whole family fun. Yun Loon/Wan Loong Chinese Temple of Port Dickson is also a popular destination that remains engulfed in the waters of spirituality.
